try this .. go to your auto lock settings, set auto lock to never. Manually lock the phone and see if it is still connected to Wifi 

 

Still iphone is going to sleep mode kada so wifi pothundi :(

its not sleep mode. it just locks your phone ... if auto lock disabled way is not working, try reset if not go to apple store show them the issue , let them know u did reset. They'll swap your phone.

idi naaku iphone 5 nunde undi google it u will get a lot of threads in apple support

 

phone lock avvagane wifi disconnect ipotundi only when u unlock it malli wifi on autundi then only u will be getting any mails or watsapp messages right

 

as far as i know there is no official fix wat  can do is

settings---> mail,contacts,calenders--->fetchnew data ---> push is on and under fetch select every15 mins

 

this made my phone to connect to wifi every 15 mins and get messages or mails

 

wifi assist make ur phone to use data when wifi is poor so when locked it will surely switch to data
