Goa has highest NSDP per capita among 33 Indian states and union territories. NSDP per capita of Goa is estimated at 224,138 Indian rupees in 2013-14 at current prices. Ranking of Delhi is two with per capita income around of 212,219 INR. Sikkim is at third, Chandigarh is at forth and Puducherry is fifth richest economy of India.

In Top 5, 4 states/UTs has population less than 1.5 million. And, top six richest Indian states/ UTs has population less than 3 crore. Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu is at 7 and 8 number, respectively. Gujarat is at 10th place with per capita income 106,831 INR behind A. & N. Islands. India's 29th state Telangana at 13th position above Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh is now at number 18.

12 states/UT has nsdp per capita above 1 lakh. Out of 33 states and union territory 20 have higher gdp per capita than India's average Rs. 74,380 in year 2013-14. All five south indian states have higher gdp per capita than India's average.

Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Assam, and Jharkhand is top 5 poorest state in terms of nsdp per capita. These five states have net state domestic product per capita below Rs. 50,000.

Per capita income of Goa is 3.01 times more than India's average and 7.18 times more than poorest state Bihar. GDP per capita of Bihar is 31,199 INR for year 2013-14 and 36,143 for 2014-15.

In US Dollor, GDP per capita of Goa is $4,903. GDP per capita of Bihar is $682. Top 5 states have above $3,000.

2014-15 data is available for 23 states/UTs. To calculate NSDP per capita in Dollar, Formula = 1626.982*(NSDP of state in Rs)/74380. ( for example, gdp per capita of Tamilnadu = 1626.982*112664/74380. Tamilnadu nsdp per capita in 2013-14 is 112664. According to IMF, GDP per capita of India in 2014 is $1626.982.)
