Few things for  Rebel mate: 

1) Geetha teaches about life..and GOD as supreme power.....it never talks about Hinduism as religion...it only talks about Karma..how to led life and what happens if you do not believe in god and how you might end up in vicious cycle of life....It even says there is no form for GOD...(i will talk about praying to STONE what you said in other point)...SO basically this is book which will give you some discpine in life wihtout forcing you to believe in SOME culture (like few other holy books do in other religion..how to pray..what to eat what not to eat...how many u can marry..what to drink and what not to...)...Geetha preaches to be spiritual and do your deeds (pray) without losing your conciseness in this materialistic world 

 

2) To whole of hinduism you have to read vedas and Puranas...Each veda has its own importance..and it will tell you in details from (what to eat..what is medicine..how to exercise..what is spirituality)...

 

3) Hindus pray to murthis in other ways some ignorant ppl see it as just any other stones... Why do Hindus have murthis when vedas and purans themselves told God has no form..In vedas or even Geetha it is told:  To make you believe in god of follow in right pattern without causing destruction to humanity , if you want to sing,,Sing becasue GOd love your singing..if you want to dance..then Dance god loves your dancing..for your meditation if you want give me form let yourself do it as long as your are not doing harm to the world I(God) created it....

In Geetha there is stanza which says ..if you are blind to see the world I (GOD create) then touch me to feel it....Form leni GOD ni ela touch rite..think about it u will get answer to Murthis...

there are lot more if you read vedas..as usual..my parents did not read or teach me completely..i never read them completely...

 

It all depends on your interest in willingness ...more we learn less crap you will talk about Hinduism.. or better we will understand how ppl have diluted it thru the course of time and generations

 

4) Geetha/ vedas never talk about other religions ..I guess and still think manily coz when they were written they never have knowledge of other religions ..infact other religions never existed. ..When u read bible ..you will have chapter where it talks about Jews and how Jesus was hanged to cross in hands of king and why Jews are then considered ..on the other hand Jews still believe they are sons of God ...and quran..you can even see in a chapter where Jews are compared a Pigs...I think this because when these were written Jews were considered as upper class citizens and ppl with closeness to God and heaven ...You see and these were competing with each other...on other hand Vedas.puranas.geetha all by themselves..

 

 

Bottom line: All religions are man made...all holy books are man made..Just be good to yourself and others..coz at then thats all it matters...if you can do that you do not need books..classes...people preeching from building it to tell you...
