Book was also quite awesome. 

 

Director made Amores Perros and the multiple Oscar winner "The Birdman" 

 

Lenoardo Di Caprio said this was the toughest movie he ever acted in, and went through extreme physical hardships to get his character right. The actors reportedly spent most of the time in natural low light conditions in the winter in Canada, and even resorted to sleeping in animal carcasses.
