Why India Is Called "india"

India is not the name we came up with! Outsiders have given us this name because of the river Sindhu (Indus in English). Every country has its own name in its own language and then an English name for the whole world. 

 

Spain - España

 

Germany - Deutschland

 

I think we should have our own name at least internally in India. 'Bharat' is often the name, but it's not in every official usage.

Of course Indian govt. still use the name in some places.. republic of Bharat,etc.

and India should  have a national language too just like any other independent nation,which is debatable.

But yeah.. as someone said, we don't even have a national language. We can't do anything as we have a multitude of cultures and languages. India simply can't choose a single culture/language among them.
