olice conducted raids on the houses of call money racket traders in Krishna district. In Vijayawada alone, police raided 30 to 40 houses. Police arrested Chitti Nagar TDP Corporator Kanakadurga and her husband; TDP leader Jwala Chowdary from Prasadampadu; Congress leader Mohan from Singh Nagar; financier Kandula Venkat Rao from Donabanda in Ibrahimpatnam mandal and call money financiers Srinivasa Rao and Shakeela from Bhavanipuram. Police recovered 100s of property documents worth Rs 400 crore from them. It is learnt that there are 10,000 victims including 1,000 women.

The investigation into Call Money Scam in Vijayawada has speeded up and it exposed yet another name. TDP MLC Buddha Venkanna's brother Buddha Nageshwar Rao was arrested on Tuesday. The Vijayawada one town police, who have been following Buddha Nageshwar Rao since some times back, seized crucial documents related to his illegal assets worth crores of rupees after taking him into custody in Vijayawada.
