icecreamZ Posted December 17, 2015 Report Posted December 17, 2015 Nre and nro accounts antey Emiti? What's the diff? And account opening procedure Enti? NRE : remit only account. you can deposit money only using remittance from overseas ( eg xoom transfers). no money from indian origin (eg : rent money from indian homes or other earnings from indian businnesses). interest is not taxable. NRO: NRE + indian money deposits. mainly this is used for deposits from indian origin(eg : rent money from indian homes or other earnings from indian businnesses). interest is taxable.

US lo unde SBI branches lo open cheyyalevu. they can give you an application form and attest your documents. you need to post them to Indian branch to open an account there.
