Certain medical expenses and dependent medical expenses can be claimed which comes under out of pocket....same thing applicable for car insurance given to you by employer. and also applies same to home relocation payments by employer....u got an idea by now. Also google COBRA act for more info on unemployement benefits and severence packages, layoffs etc.
