call the lender and ask to reduce apr.

 

its always better to keep the credit cards which have long history of usage(even though you not using currantly), it counts towards credit history

If it's an oldest card then koncham effect untadi or else lite, I closed my 2010 card recently and going to cancel 2006 one as well

my suggestion 

 

1.apply for the new credit card which you wish to open and then close this annaul fee credit card.

2. DCU lo checking account open chesi.  sign up for DCU  credit builder loan. it will build credit history for u.

 

 

 

And dont apply more the  2 new cards in the same month.
