That's crazy solution, once taxes are increased, what's the guarantee that this situation won't be raised? Don't fool ourselves by giving more money and letting them handle our lives..

The only way out of this for US is to tax $100k incomes at 40% federal, cut down the deductions, and offer universal health care, education for free.

ofcourse $500k should be taxed at atleast 50%.

Sanders should win. But he will cause a recession in the US, and make it a better place.

what is money? why do you deserve $120k for tapping some numbers on a computer, as against a machine operator who makes $35-40k? Do you think he's less talented than you are?

Its the market that decides right? The govt's (especially Fed govt.) job is to ease this natural inequality that creeps into any economy that is in flux.

They may do a sh1t job about it, but the country would still be a better place than if it was not done at all.

They won't handle 'our lives' if we give them more money. They'll just handle 'our money'. Technically, its everyone's money.

Tax rates in US are a joke. It may have been designed to shift the middle class from 35-50k range to 85-120k range.

Except the majority are still stuck at the 35-50k range.

Just look at Europe where higher marginal rates kick in at salaries as less as $70k. Ofcourse this benefits the richest, and is perhaps not ideal. But atleast the middle class doesn't have to worry about cost of health care.

I think plenty of people in the US believe that they can get rich if they worked hard enough. That's why they oppose tax increases.

Forget income taxes, they oppose all types of tax increases, even for the hedge fund types. I can only laugh at them, as I profit from such idiocy.

But if Sanders wins, he'll be an awesome president.
