What do you think reality is? My guess is that this is where the disconnect is for you. But, in other news, a while back, someone asked in this sub whether there was a difference between "awakening" and enlightenment. Back then, I was all "la-di-da, words are words, no distinction, blah, blah, blah." But now, from where I see it, there does need to be two separate definitions. To me, "awakening" more signifies awakening to the Self, to the I Am that is unclouded by any personal egoic inclinations. And "enlightenment" is the disappearance of that same Self.
