Whether you have a project or not is actually not a concern of your's it's your employer's responsibility. If he hasn't run a payroll for you and hasn't paid you salary whether you are on a project or not, you can call the DOL(Department of Labor) in the state your employer is based in and complain about this to them. If he's going back to India after lodging a complaint with DOL, there's a small chance he might be compensated certain amount.
