Mamta Mohandas dating Telugu music director!

Is there something brewing between hot and happening music director Devi Sri Prasad popularly known as DSP and his protégé actress and singer Mamta? The Kollywood grapevine has it that the two are in tune with each other.

DSP is a livewire and loves to party. Last week he and Mamta were seen partying together at some hot spots in Chennai, as the music director went to town celebrating the success of his Suriya’s Singam music.

They were also spotted at the premiere of The Karate Kid at Sathyam Cinemas on Thursday night. DSP and Mamta were sitting together in the back most row side seats at Six Degrees and munching popcorn and enjoying the movie.

Mamta and DSP freaked out on The Karate Kid, and after the movie were seen discussing it animatedly at a five star coffee shop.

For Mamta “Devi is my good friend and the guy who gave me my first break as a singer. We are good friends.” Remember Mamta first sang under DSP for the Telugu hit Raakhee, which got her the prestigious Filmfare award in the best singer (Female) category?

Again it was Devi who introduced her to Tamil and under him she belted out the chartbuster Daady Mummy Veetil Illa… in Vijay’s Villu.

The thorn in their relationship is actress Charmee who many feel has charmed her way into DSP’s heart many years back. The grapevine has it that Charmee is worried over Mamta’s closeness to the music director, singer and actor in the making.
