India is underdeveloped because it is feudalistic, among other reasons. dalit orgs strive to change it. you may think their methods degrade Hindus, but that is the only way they can make themselves heard. being politically aware in college is not a bad thing at all. having done my college in singapore, I think that a political campus is more colorful than a techie one.
