Every group has the right to their dignity and identity. I agree, supporting Islam is kind of idiotic. But they have no other way. The standard dalit politics in India is stuck with playing second fiddle to the dominant castes. They can't use dalit imagery to fight it. So they use muslim groups for support, but they are not loyal to them. even though i am tg guy... i dont have opinion on andhra vs tg.. ..may be i had few posts making fun on recording dances.. etc i still dont agree...I have never seen any disc... against.. dalit... modi is bc.. he is pm... I think if you show loyality to country and religion like modi... caste is no barrier....any caste person can become pm...day is not far.. in next 20 to 25 yrs.. all barriers where existing.. will be collapsed..... Join RSS.. be aggressive is key... it doesn't depend on caste... congress is family party...

If you want to fight Islamic bigotry, fight it directly. Organize conferences criticizing Islam and its effect on India, and be patient while the idea finds its way into the larger society. Expecting dalits to take up your fight is a bit far fetched. They have their own problems to grapple with, especially from other Hindus. How do you expect them to be supportive of Hindus?
