Location : very unsafe. But can live in Fremont/Union City (desi population is High) and commute. 

Mode of Transport : BART(Bay ARea Rapid Transport)

Cost of living: if you are looking for a apartment for rent( IMHO, your recent posts say you are about to get married or got married), in the areas I have mentions, single bed room would cost around 2400-2700 USD.

 

 

So, based on your rate and your employer percentage and taxes deducted , you would get around 4K per month in hand if he is paying a fixed amount per LCA.
