My wife is planning to go to india now...so thanu stamping ki velthe just naa approved 797 copy theesukelthe saripothadi kadha...but i heart that they are asking my stamping proof on passport also anta....that is what i want to confirm.

May be this is the case : first time h1 vesinappudu and it got approved anukundam .. they want to check ur h1 visa is stamped , before u send ur wife for stamping .

Your approved i797 color or b/w photo copy should be enough. No need of your stamping. This worked for me .. As of November 2015 - this is true, not sure now if anything changed in 2016
