The people of Lima celebrate New Years Eve by letting off thousands of fireworks above the city.
Photographer Jeff Cremer used his drone camera this New Years Eve to capture the moment when the Peruvian capital’s skies go wild in cascades of colours and lights.
“At around midnight I flew the drone over all the fireworks at an altitude of around 200m”, said Jeff. “I wanted to fly lower but I could just picture someone getting lucky with a direct bottle rocket hit to the drone so I stayed up high.”
He then edited all the footage together on iMovie and set it to Perpetuum Mobile by Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
