i could be wrong .. but as far as i know... it is a record maintained by ur employer to show that you are on legal status whenever  DOL contacts ur employer

EAD lo start date eppudu untundo appati nundi work cheskovocchu u dont need a physical card - but then u ll need a receipt that you have applied to ead - submit that to employer and also submit the approved screen shot
