Nannaku Prematho a proud flop for NTR

 

Nannaku Prematho's business has almost come to an end in all the areas. The film is currently getting collections that would be enough for the feeding of theaters. So the film won't be reaching the breakeven mark despite doing phenomenal business outside Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Nannaku Prematho is a blockbuster in overseas and a hit in Karnataka.

Sukumar's classy revenge tale failed to connect with the mass audience of Telugu states. Interestingly the film didn't even succeed in Nizam where the buyers are going to lose the most compared to other areas. Except for East Godavari, Nannaku Prematho is not going to breakeven in AP too.

Thankfully it has done so well outside that it could enter the fifty crore club and eventually become the biggest earner for NTR. We cannot call it a hit film with eighty percent of buyers looking at losses. The film didn't even collect the 54 crore share that is needed for it to be termed as a hit. This film will be memorable for NTR and his fans in many ways, but sadly fell short of expectations at the box office.

King Nagarjuna's 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' carried  unanimous positive reports on the day one of its release and finally stood as the biggest blockbuster among this year's Sankranthi films. The movie has been made with a budget of Rs.15+ crores and has already breached Rs.40 crores share mark world wide. 

 

As per the current trends, the movie may end up somewhere around Rs.43+ crores share. In Telugu states alone the movie is likely to collect Rs.35 crores in its full run. It is also being said that the movie has bright chances to break the full run AP and Telangana shares of another Sankranthi film 'Naannaku Prematho'. 'NPT' has collected a share of Rs.32+ crores so far. 'SCN" is likely to break the shares of 'NPT' in all areas of AP and TS except West Godavari. However, 'Naannaku Prematho' has accumulated nearly Rs.50 crores world wide which cannot be surpassed by 'Soggade Chinni Nayana'. 

 

Debutant Kalyan Krishna directed 'Soggade Chinni Nayana'. This family entertainer has Ramyakrishna and Lavanya Tripathi in female lead roles. King Nagarjuna has produced the movie on Annapurna Studios.
