www.pushmycart.com is started by IT folks in US, with a tag line of "Don't Miss anything from India'.  Their aim is to make sure that we get every product from India. Especially at the time of Festivals, we miss a lot and sometime we even mourn a little bit for coming to US. But this website is supplying Indian stuff at close to Indian prices in US. Ofcourse, the tricky part is they ship products by FedEx 3 days International priority shipping, which costs a lot of money. For example if you buy anything upto 1KG the shipping charges are 26$, which is prohibitive. However, if you buy 10KG stuff the FedEx charges comes to 70 Bucks, which is 7$/ KG.  Not many of us buy 10KG stuff from India on a regular basis. So, this team came up with an Idea of local pickup centers. Using this method of shipping now we can order as little as 250Gms of anything and pay a shipping charge of $1.75 cents + 1$ for local pickup services.   Imagine ordering 250Gms of Pulla Reddy sweet and getting it delivered to US fresh for just about 3 bucks........  This is amazing right..... How it works: if you chose to pickup locally, orders from that area combined and one single shipment is sent to the pick up location. That way the team is able to lower the shipping cost and also remove the restriction or minimum order quantity....   

 

There are lots of products that are now cheaper (even after shipping charges) comparing to what we pay in US......

Bay Area  pick up is available near Cisco Campus in Sunnyvale... May be you overlooked it...
