A dream 50 years in the making to come true 

CBN met Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and submitted a representation seeking early creation of the new zone with Visakhapatnam as headquarters and completion of pending development works in the State. The centre has already given in-principle clearance to the establishment of the zone in Visakhapatnam and a formal announcement is awaited after the Union Cabinet gives its nod. The zone will create thousands of jobs for youngsters in the region and boost the local economies. This is the first step taken to obtain more rail services and projects for the state and vastly improve basic services to the population
