Because we have something called "Free will". We are free to choose what we want to do in life and given an opportunity we like for a nation we like, we would choose that over other alternatives. 

 

It's pretty much the same reason why your fellow Indian brothers and sisters are coming here in droves every year. Why dont' they stay back and serve India, contribute to the local economy there etc.

They do it for both reasons as well. Do you think people just join blindly without knowing what other benefits the Army provides like free college tuition(GI Bill), post benefit retirements etc? You are an idiot if you think so. 

 

My recruiter himself told me that he joined because 1) He loves this nation 2) He wanted to go to school and since his family couldn't afford it, joining the Army provided him the option to do it 3) Now he has a kid and Army will pay for his kid's schooling and college as well so that's another strong reason why he prefers staying in the Army for life. 

 

So there are benefits but you are eventually doing some service to avail those benefits. People like you are free loaders who have no idea about what that means, you are only found lurking around forums like these taking a dig at people who do things that you know you aren't physically or mentally capable of. You are a low life pond scum.

most people join army because they can't find anything else bro. it's unanimous. hicks in texas/alabama don't join because they love to serve country, it's because they don't find work anywhere else
