Telangana gets better deal than AP.

 

Even though both the Telugu States are very disappointed about the railway budget tabled this morning. The detailed allocations to some pending projects are now revealed. Even though not notable, Telangana gets a better deal than AP at least on paper. The prominent promise to Telangana is development of Suburban network in Hyderabad as partnership project between the union and state governments.

 

Andhra Pradesh has got 250 Crore for two important railway lines in the state which are very meager to their completion. The major demands like new railway zone and rail connectivity from Rayalaseema to Amaravathi are completely ignored. On the other side, Telangana has got 389 Crores for the pending works in six pending railway lines.

 

Besides these, 10 Crores were also allotted for couple of ROB bridges in the state. Both the states have got raw deals but AP will be more disappointed as the ruling Telugu Desam Party is the alliance partner of BJP at the center.
