This is why I'm so stupid for still staying here and trying to argue like an adult. you guys refuse to read any of the material I linked to, but insist that you are right. you just think and think and think that everyone else in the world is out to get you, and challenge your way of life. It must be pretty sad to live that way.

donganaaK Posted March 12, 2016 Author Report Posted March 12, 2016 reservations in promotions are grey area. Its left to the individual departments to deal with it. Most of the appointments are hence, political. now the question is, if its better to keep it political, or atleast have a constitutional amendment that ensures reservations in promotions too. courts don't have anything to say on this obviously. It is beyond their jurisdiction. They just interpreted the law as it stands, and said that state govts are not obliged to stick to reservation quotas in promotion. But that is something that is already happening in govt. offices everywhere in India. I think the state govts already have caste based promotions in place , I think not even a single political party has the nerve to speak against it , if you keep it only political it doesn't serve any purpose apart from creating more rift between all the castes ....
