Legally aath kooda peekaleru aa parents as the kid is a major and he probably paid for it himself.

Whether it was mandatory for the hospital folks/doctors to get an NOC from parents/guardians  is debatable, they are not needed to but wouldnt  hurt if they stress on that in future

did the operation go sour? why are parents making it such an issue ?

simple miscommunication man thats it. aa procedure eppatinuncho chesthunnaru & its scientifically proven. there is no law against that procedure more than 30years nunchi aa procedure follow avthunnaru. parents may not have proper info about the procedure anthe & more over media doesnt have the common decency abt  getting two sides of the story.
