I think you should talk to your HR first. Your manager may not know all the complications but HR and company lawyer do. Whatever we suggest here may not apply to your company. Did he know that you will be gone for at least one 1 year or even more?Looks like you are prepared to move to India if you miss this year but also remember it will be same next year and you may never come back. Whatever your plans with this company are, make sure your growth and future are not affected.

he cant run. u.s lo desi consultancy ni kalisi client company tho corp-to-corp agreement rayinchukoni, desi company neeku indian salary baga pay chesettu chesuko. or if ur manager is willing for corp-to-corp with an indian company, nuvve oka company india lo open chesi work out chesuko. seen some doing that.
