Buyers will be unable to recover at least half their investment in most of the territories. The film is too weak in Mahesh’s strong areas like overseas and Nizam too. In Ceded Brahmotsavam is unlikely to collect even 4 crore in its theatrical run says the trade. The film is unable to recover theater rents in side theaters that the distributors are forced to replace it with other films. Tamil dubbed flick Bichagadu got lucky as Brahmotsavam is replaced with it in many side theaters from Monday. Next week is going to be a tough one for Tollywood trade with no notable new releases except for Vishal’s Rayudu. Trivikram’s A Aa is going to be the last hope for this season. A Aa is releasing on June 2nd and it will surely get so many screens across Telugu states with literally no competition. Quote
