As per the Clause 7 (e) of the Second Chapter in the Godavari Water Dispute Tribunal, it is clearly mentioned that Maharashtra and Karnataka are at liberty to utilise their share of 35 tmcft.  “It is also agreed that if the diversion at 75 per cent dependability as stated in clause (a) above exceeds, the said quantity of 80 tmcft due for diversion form Godavari from the proposed Polavaram Project into Krishna river, further diminishing the releases from Nagarjunasagar Project such excess quantity shall also be shared between the three States in the same proportion as in sub-clause (b) above,” stated in the clause 7(f) of the same manual.

Thus, if Maharashtra, Karnataka demand their fair share, the spirit of  Pattiseema will be lost. AP  has to share the water with the upper states. They demand their due share, which could be 21 tmcft for Karnataka and 14 tmcft to Maharashtra.

but this got nothing to do with proposed polavaram project kadha, it is pattiseema project which is entirely different project and AP govt is claiming that they are only diverting allocated water to AP not excess water. think_ww

evvaru entha gola chesina monsoon lo dam lu ethalsindhey water aa antharvedhi narasimha swamy ni dhaatukuni vellalsindhey @3$%

Believe it or not, on an average, 1,660 tmc water is going waste from Godavari river into the sea every year.

The irrigation department officials, who are determined to utilise Godavari waters to its optimal level, examined the water flows in Godavari in the last 40 years. The startling revelation is that on an average 1,660 tmc is going waste into the sea every year. The wastage is recorded even in severe drought seasons too.

The maximum water that flowed from Godavari into the sea is recorded in 1986. In 1986 alone, 3,000 tmc water flowed from Godavari into the sea.

In the normal flood years, the average flows were 2,000 tmc every year. When there were no rains and state witnessed severe drought, still the water wasted from Godavari into the sea is around 900 tmc. Mostly, the water is going from Godavari into sea between June and October every year.

ippupdu problem ekkada vachindhi ante 1969 lo godvari tribunal lo proposed polavaram project water interlinking chesthe upstream states can use krishna water ani undhi. So krishna water already dead storage ki vachesai if upstream states were given this oppurtunity they will increase the dam heights & more dams can be constructed to get the water from krishna, Godavari water inter link chesina it wont be cost effective to uplift all the water from godavari to krishna. Main thing is rayalaseema will be more effected.by this.damndamn
