Just rough estimate of typical decent South Indian Marriage, from the bride's perspective:

Jewellery gift to bride and groom- 15 Lakh INR,
Wedding hall expense - 4 Lakh INR
Food Bill - 10 Lakh INR
Sarees and clothings - 2 Lakh INR
Other expenses(includes fee for the priest, transport, printing invitation etc) - 4 Lakh INR

adapaduchula katnalu  - 2 lakh

gift to Groom - car, bike ?

photo - 3-4 lakh

And the expense from the groom's perspective:

Clothing - 1 Lakh INR
Reception - 6 Lakh INR (Includes food, the hotel/hall expense)
Other expenses( Printing invitation, transportation etc) - 2 Lakh

Jewellery gift to Bride- 10 Lakh INR,

photo - 3-4 lakh
 

and engagement costs etc, etc.. oka 50lakh-80lakh lappalisindha. OPT guys beware.

chain,ring ,bracelet ...2-3 lacs ...ammayi jewellery ki koncham budget increase cheyali...these days all NRI only diamonds only no ....retrun gifts anty ..its called lagna patrika dantlo unique ideas tho vasthuannaru groom families.....naaku telisina family (groom ) ee lagna patrika issue lo  fought vth brides family ...almost groom mom ki ee issue lo brides family anty chiraku ...but somehow compromised and married  ...but inka daughter -in law vs mom-in law scenes jaruguthu untayi....
