VizagRocks Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 http://www.openthemagazine.com/article/voices/the-revenge-of-rajnikanth The screams and whistles in the theatres in Madras when Rajnikanth makes his grand entry are not the awe of respect, but an expression of love for a beloved clown. VizagRocks Posted July 25, 2016 Author Report Posted July 25, 2016 epic takedown of the 'Rajnikanth phenomenon', by my favourite Madras writer. A bit harsh though, given Rajnikanth actually featured in many offbeat films before he became a star in the 90s, and can act better than almost all Tamil actors. Quote

I don't think that writer touched upon that point. What actually nobody knows is, why are the multiplex crowds behaving like the poorer fans of rajnikanth. Quote
bongu_balraj Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 Good Article ... However, Rajini always stays Superstar ... Quote

Rajni is acceptable to all, he's uncontroversial, means, anyone can appropriate his name, and do overaction. that is what is happening. I don't think Rajni actually has fans now, the way Vijay and Ajith have. His time was in the 90s. Quote
