Why people share videos a lot these days?

does that mean people lost the patience to read, or is a video actually an effective tool of teaching?

Like the one your jigri dosth, db ka anmol ratan yomama linked to. A talk on Quantum Computing, by the CEO of the company that claimed to have built the first quantum computer. DWave Systems.

In that entire 1hr+ video, nowhere is there a full disclosure about the quantumness of the system his company built.

The talk is completely dumbed down to the level of high school physics, and is more of a marketing gimmick for his company, and for the field of Quantum Computing in general, offering incredibly rosy predictions of the coming Quantum rush.

I can't recollect any other video here that I watched. But I was amused when one of my cousins took to youtube to search for how  to install gentoo linux or something. It looks like people prefer videos to reading.

video will be precise and to the point..so you will understand abt it quickly as opposed to writing where people jabber about their redundant writing skills just like in your post
