‘Krishnaveni Tarangalu’, a delightful take on river Krishna

Krishna Pushkaralu -2016 have ended leaving behind images of milling crowds taking a dip and performing sacred rituals on the river front.

Moving on from the rituals, if one wants to have a peep into the history of the river Krishna, a cradle of human civilizations and cultures, one should lay his hands on a book brought by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams titled Krishnaveni Tarangalu .

A compilation of several articles, the book was written by two scholars, B.N. Srinivasan and K. Ramakrishna, former assistant editors in TTD. Seasoned photographer Markandeyulu Naidu has added lustre to the book by his beautiful pictures that have captured a myriad of emotions along the river. Former Editor of TTD publications Rammurthy was the guiding force behind the publication.
