Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Konijeti Rosaiah, who stepped down from the post of Tamil Nadu Governor a couple of days ago after completion of his term, has retired from politics.

Rosaiah, who returned to Hyderabad on Friday after vacating Raj Bhavan in Chennai, told media that he would not get back into politics again. “I was a Congress leader in the past. But now, I am a free bird. I don’t want to go back into the Congress politics, or for that matter, any other party. I had been in politics for 60 years and that is enough. No more politics,” he said.

Rosaiah also clarified that he had no affinity towards Andhra Pradesh. “I don’t want to get into Andhra again. I am happy in Hyderabad and I will stay here for the rest of my life,” he said.
