This is not my experience..relative..who came to india on family function needs stamping

'the complete fault of desi employer. He didn't ammend h1b even though client has been changed one year ago.

Requested to amend but desi employer told not required.

Interviewer said mam,  i797 is for old client ..we can't help..get amended and send passport to dropbox..we will get you visa ani papam chala helpful ga matladadu

So better go to india man for h1b..they are very nice and helpful

How come they knew it's not ammended .. Ur relative did a mistake .. He might have given present client name instead of old client as per 797.

True.. Amendment is better. He already took chance by not doing that in his case..
