NRI accounts are usually 2 types NRO and NRE

NRO antey you have to pay taxes in india  for the interest you earn

NRE antey you dont have to pay any interest.

 

I have HDFC this is 3 days of back and forth for applying documents but after that its quick process... I felt HDFC is good because they have US dedicated phone line they will respond quickly...

Why u need this. Savings ki ayithe india lo parents ki send chey. Nee account lo unte malli usa lo foreign bank account ani report cheyali every year if you have more than $10k savings.
