I have idea about the document. usually people sign it when you do not trust your partner or you do not believe in the future condition.you write clearly what belongs to whom and whos right is what. by doing it you are avoiding alimony to some extent in case of divorce.otherwise your partner is eligible to claim share in all you properties and your earnings.
