Can we work while the H4-EAD renewal is in pending status (receipt received)?

Bros, ma friend okka athanu converted to H4 and got H4 EAD last year and working on it, It got expired this august.

He applied for H4 EAD renewal based on H1b & H4 extension receipt numbers and received receipt for H4 EAD renewal.

Can he work while the H4-EAD renewal is in pending status (receipt received)?

Please evarikina thelustha chepandi.

Cannot work, for any EAD, It has to be approved to start work, thats why EAD renewals are planned carefully.
