I don't think vallaki antha feeling undhi ani. Rajni, JJ, MGR and more Tami heroes (not dubbing ones) are not Tamilians. They are all at top in their professions. Can you name one south state that accepts outsiders so dearly? None. 

Valla language lo matladukunte feeling unnattu kaadhu. For some cultures, It's just more comfortable to talk in their native language. If you go to some European countries they talk in their language even though they know English/common language even at work places. They do it even when there are international people working around them. Vallaki edho feeling unnattu kaadhu. Valla language vasthe nee skin colour, ethnicity, birth place kooda pattinchukoru. They just treat you as one of them.
