yomama Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 devslopes ios course 20$ in udemy, if you want more interaction and classroom kind of thing then go to devslopes and register for his course for 200$. Totally worth the course, if you have an idea to make app, you can do with the help of this course. Just follow the success stories and look at the curriculam , its great. Ios dev needs you to learn swift language a new one. equipment you need is macbook pro, a monitor and apple phone. Ios do have simulators but i prefer checking app dev using the phone. reason why you should learn app dev, its fun and who knows , you might create the next big thing in app dev. good luck. Quote

It is important that you choose the technologies (Programming language, Databases, Windows/Linux application, etc). You should always choose technologies that you know about (Unless you're an expert at computer related technologies). Step 2: Find a project that you find cool and uses the technologies you know about. You'll feel like contributing only when you realize how useful the project is and how it can be improved. Github can be really useful. Step 3: Read the documentation and set up the working version of the project locally. (You'll learn a lot of things about the project from this.) Step 4 a: Search for issues having 'Beginner Friendly`, 'Newcomer', 'Difficulty-Low' kind of labels. These issues are specifically for the new comers. Try to fix such issues. Once you're comfortable with solving beginner friendly issues you can then aim to fix the major issues and the feature requests. Step 4 b: Try to use the project according to instructions in the documentation. Report any issues or bugs you find. Contributing to Open Source Software does not mean only writing code. It also includes contribution that makes the project better. Reporting issue is an important part for Open Source Projects. Step 4 c: Try to fix the documentations. Often a project is build with new features and technologies but the documentations are never updated. Try to update the documentation if you can. Ask - Always ask for help if you are feel stuck at any point. The worst that could happen is the developers won't reply. You'll find that most of the developers involved in Open Source Projects are really helpful. lifted from quora Quote
