There has been a lot of speculation on who will play the lead in producer-director YVS Chowdary's dream project 'Okka Magadu'. Now the cat is out of the bag. It is none other than his favorite actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, while a new face, the details of which will be released shortly, has been signed to play the female lead. YVS Chowdary announced this at a press conference this morning.

The shooting will be launched with a muhurat on October 2 (on the eve of Dasara) and the movie is expected to be completed in April 2007. "NBK wil be doing a powerful character in the film. But he is not playing a factionist/police officer," said YVS Chowdary.

August 9 is a special day for YVS Chowdary. On the same day in 2002, he celebrated the 100 day-run of his first production 'Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo,' starring Nandamuri Harikrishna in the lead, in Gudiwada.
