After 6 years of h1 employer need to prove that there is no local equivalent to your skills to perform the job to get extensions thereafter. 

Employment based GCs will be given for 5 years initially and then a 10 year renewal need to be applied. After the first 3 years of second GC they "might" be eligible for naturalization (not guaranteed). If they join the armed forces in the positions required for DoD they can be eligible for naturalization after the first 5yrs GC.

US born babies of non immigrants  inherit the visa status of their parents. (Except for those serving in the armed forces)

Mavni already gone man, recent Miller message mavnis are not eligible for OCS anta. Clear violation of eo. I hope somebody wakes up tomorrow and sees the truth, fix that flawed logic and reopen OCS , if they want to discriminate openly , you have every right to file for hostility and get naturalized .

Clear cut case of discrimination. The same rule doesn't apply to someone who let's say married someone for a GC got his GC and then applied to the Army. However, not sure what mistake people on F1 and H1B visas have done to deserve this. Lt. Col.(retd) Margaret Stock has already mentioned that she filed a lawsuit against this as a clear cut case of violation of EO. Let's see what happens. 

However if you are in AR(Reserves) you can still apply for ROTC, correct?
