KCR adopts Naidu's 'Swiss Challenge'

The Swiss Challenge system adopted by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in  awarding works like construction of new Secretariat etc, seems more attracted the Telangana government also.

Despite the High court recently raised doubts on the new system and called AP government for explanation, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is eager to award the much hyped construction of new Secretariat works under Swiss Challenge system.

Under the new system,  any company across the world can come forward and file the bids.  Lowest bidder will be awarded the works. KCR is of the strong view that the system will help to save money by awarding works at lowest price.

KCR government already awarded some pending irrigation project works under Swiss Challenge and wanted to adopt the same procedure in other big works taken up by government.
