This quora link has too many valid answers ... Unless you rely on some naive statements like all religions are same, Hinduism is just a plain way of life and live far away from reality.  

Equal rights to non-moslems in a moslem majority country is not an easy task and its not different from giving power to moslem extreme elements.

I am not denying the actual share moslems and dalits should get in every sector including in the govt. . But do we really have someone like Khan Abdul Gafar khan and Moulana Abul Kalam Azad who can go along with all others? MIM leaders do not even praise Abdul Kalam because he quotes Geeta and plays Veena.

Just to gain the power if Mayavati chooses to spit venom on upper caste hindus and what if it works out well ? At least choose someone who is decent..
