Lets see how the cash crunch in the informal economy plays out in the GDP. Nobody knows for sure. Only thing is, most small traders are fcuked, unless they start using the old currency like always.

and perhaps, it won't reflect in the GDP figures, and Modi can still keep his image as a transformational figure, without doing anything productively transformational.
