Rojas wants big seat in assembly

Actress turned firebrand politician of the opposition party YSRCP, Nagari MLA Roja's outrageous and abusive statements in Andhra Pradesh Assembly often created huge controversies and heated debates, which eventually led to Roja's suspension from the Assembly for a year.

According to the ongoing buzz in the political circles, Roja has been breathing fire ever since her suspension during the winter sessions in December last year and she is seething with rage to avenge the humiliation the ruling party had caused which tarnished her image to a great extent.

Apparently, Roja has been confiding to her close acquaintances that she will not opt for a ministry in YS Jagan's cabinet if YSRCP comes into power after the 2019 elections. Roja has been telling her close associates that she would ask for the Speaker's chair instead.

This makes one assume that Roja is waiting to cool off her personal grudge and that she will not spare the TDP leaders, if at all she ever becomes the Speaker. On the other hand, it is indeed amusing to see Roja already dreaming of becoming a Speaker, with more than two and a half years left for the elections.

All said and done, Roja has already established herself as a firebrand leader whereas an Assembly Speaker needs calm and composure in his or her conduct in the house. It would be interesting to see how the AP leaders and common people will receive Roja as a Speaker.
