Indian movies koncham independent avali, am really glad that youtube has created a huge source off income to those short film folks. Youtube will become bigger than most of the main stream medias as internet is completely dominating everything. Short films have a lot of viewer base.

Still long way to go. Most of the short films are targeting a section of viewers and none of them are worth spending time if you want to have watch-with-family quality time. Google/Youtube is not putting any effort to improve the viewer base and make it household name.  Considering the cash they have, they should have produced their own programs.  They need to learn from Amazon - how they are diversifying themselves in every segment.

True but i would not root for that to happen, because google is already too big to fail and thats scary. No one institution should ever hold such power. But it should be spread all across the globe.
