5 years experience antunnavu, antey let's say you've been on H1B for 5 years or atleast 4 years. So either 1 year or two years left on H1B. How many companies are willing to take the risk and sponsor you knowing that your visa will expire in one year. 

Not many companies initiate the GC processing as soon as they hire you, they want to wait atleast one year before they do. Longer in some cases. So neeku one year left over untey em chesthav ankul H1B meeda mee vodu immediately GC processing start cheyakunte. 

Plus in a lot of companies that take FT, if there's been a recent layoff they can't even file perm for GC for upto 6 months from the day the layoffs occurred.
