Vajpayee govt. endhi. MMS govt is the best performing govt in the last few decades (both terms). Vajpayee is 3rd. growth lo, poverty reduction lo, infrastructure development lo, social indicators lo. annitlo. Only thing previous NDA did well was to improve credit growth. It went to the top banias, and to infrastructure development. But they were not as capable in governance as the UPA. Quote

They can impose their will on their state, because state populations are mostly homogenous, and respond well to directives from the top. congress did the mistake of not giving more power to the states.
