Current LCA document for H1B doesn't require you to prove any equivalent citizen exists if minimum Sal is 60000$ but this rule is increasing minimum to 100000$. It doesn't mean that employer has to increase Sal. If any employee is getting less than 100000$, employer has to prove to labor department that no citizen is available to take that job.

Sanjeev Ganjihal Don't you all think Trump administration will approve this bill? Mr.Trump's first step will be to fix the broken immigration system.. Scared..Also I am a student graduating in April 2017 and it will be a sad news for all the students if they remove the masters quota!

Pradeep Prabhakara They are not removing masters quota. Earlier companies had to make good faith effort to recruit citizens before h1bs. Only exception being if employee had at least 60k salary or masters from anywhere in the world. Now they are saying u can sponsor h1b without attempting to recruit citizens in good faith if salary is 100k or above regardless of education
